GIGSONAIR is a place for lovers and fans of live music. Our aim is to make it the best place on the web to discover new and emerging bands and solo artists around the UK. If you don’t live in the UK don’t worry you can still join in the fun, add your favourite bands that you discover, comment on others bands and comment on the comments, it's just that at the moment our travel budgets are non-existent so filming outside of the UK is reserved for holidays but we won't go into that here :0)

We were born out of a passion for going to gigs and festivals and watching bands that we wouldn’t normally get to see on TV or hear on the radio. Standing in a bar watching a band we’ve never heard of next to similar people with a similar passion for discovering something new.

We then thought it would be fun to put on a few of our own gigs to show off some of our favourite bands that we’d found along the way but to make sure everyone could enjoy the same experience we decided to film them. Not just on a mobile phone or a handheld camcorder but using big HD cameras just like the professionals do on the TV.

We then uploaded the videos onto You Tube and any other sites we thought would be a good platform for the bands we featured. Now, after 18 months and having loads of fun along the way we’ve decided to put together our own website to showcase these videos and invite everyone to share with us their favourite gig experiences.

What we do is encourage music fans to add content they find on other video broadcasting websites and by using a simple process of copying the URL into our website we hope to build the most comprehensive collection of music videos and gig goers stories anywhere on the web.
