Merlins are an East London based four piece that create indie pop/rock that has radio play written all over it.

Combining a blend of melodic guitars, sing-a-long vocals and quirky electronic sounds dashed on top of a thriving live band, Merlins have created a sound that is instantaneous appeal.Their debut album 'no rehearsal' is an 11 track dose of brilliance that journeys between the cheeky pop of 'Shake it on the dancefloor' to the epic reflective chill of 'Only  you'. However, throughout this stylistically diverse album you can hear a sound that is unique to a band that knows how yo have fun with their writing. Merlins is the musical creation of Mike and Sav. The pair first dreamed of being in a band while swapping drawings of guitars at the back of a classroom aged 15.

Merlins began its life officially in 2006 when the duo started writing together and recording the entire album in demo form. From there the hunt was on for the perfect musicians to work with. This came soon with the addition of Craig on drums. Craig had the flare and groove the Merlins were looking for not to mention the cheeky jack-th-lad bravado. Then came the trashy surfer style of Joe on bass guitar. Dubbed 'bendy based Joe' here was a man with a real talent for performance and energy infused base playing.

Right now Merlins are busy playing live and fully plugges in venues across London and beyond. After a packed debut in central London the band is fast amassing a following of devoted fans and working hard to spread the buzz that surrounds Merlins.
